Mujeeb Jaihoon’s book on the late Indian statesman, Sayyid Muhammadali Shihab Thangal, has been globally received by several world leaders.
Oct 04 2024 (Tokyo, Japan) In a significant moment of Japan visit, Sayed Sadik Ali Shihab Thangal, President of the Kerala State Muslim League, presented Slogans of the Sage, an illustrated book about the late South India’s celebrated statesman and philanthropist. Sayyid Muhammadali Shihab Thangal, to Indian Ambassador to Japan, His Excellency Sibi George.
Authored by Mujeeb Jaihoon, the book, originally written in English, has received global acclaim with translations in French, Italian, and several Indian languages. It delves into the life and philosophy of the late leader, who remains an iconic figure in Kerala’s political and social spheres.
The presentation took place during a formal visit of distinguished delegation of Haris Beeran, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and lawyer of the Supreme Court of India. Other distinguished guests including Dr. P. K Hashim, President of the Japan Kerala Muslim Cultural Center (KMCC) and Assistant Professor at Hokkaido University, and Mohamed Yusuf, KMCC Japan Advisor and Anil Raj, member of Lokha Kerala Saba. Also present were Shihaz Sultan, a UAE-based entrepreneur.
The gathering served as a platform for discussions on the Indian diaspora in Japan, cultural cooperation, and future opportunities for engagement between India and Japan, reflecting the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between the two nations on multiple fronts.
