If you wish to be successful, leave the world except for a handful of water (hadith)
If in the morning, one gets up in security, is healthy and has food for that day, it is as if he has everything in the world.
Abu Hurairah reports: “The Prophet was delivering a khutbah and al-Hassan and al-Hussain [his grandsons] came and they were wearing two red shirts and they were tripping while walking. The Prophet came down from the pulpit and picked them up and placed them in front of himself, and then he said: ‘Allah and His Messenger have told the truth. Verily, your wealth and children are a trial. I looked to these two children walking and tripping, and I could not be patient, so I cut off my khutbah and went to pick them up.”‘
Baqiyyath us salihaat : This verse refers to the dhikr of “subahanallahi wal hamdu lillahi wa la ilaha illa Allah wallahu akbar, wala haula wala quwwatha illa billa
If paradise is a fertile land, then “subahanallahi … illa billa” is the crop grown there.
‘Baqiyyath us salihaat’ may also refer to the pious daughters. The boy killed by Khidr was replaced by a daughter who had 12 Prophets in her generation.
A saint once calculated his sins @ one per day for sixty years that he lived which measured up to 21 thousand plus. Shocked at the number, he screamed and died the same time.
Ibn Abbas said that small sins include the smile for a sinful cause.
